Design Philosphy

Don’t make something unless it is both necessary and useful but if it is both necessary and useful, don’t hesitate to make it beautiful.

I'm good at:

Art Direction, Graphic Design, User Interface, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark, html, css, strategy, marketing ideas, consulting, disc golf and Speed UNO.

Born and raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee. I grew up rubbing elbows with Country Music Stars. Johnny Cash, Barbara Mandrell, Reba Macintyre, Conway Twitty and the long bearded guy from The Oak Ridge Boys. Well techically, they were rubbing elbows with each other and I was just seeing them buy bologna at the grocery store. I thought we knew them because my mom would say, "Hi" to them and she knew their names and we knew where they lived. So when I would see them on T.V., I would just think we were watching our friend's home movies. I thought they were regular poeple. It wasn't until later in life that I realized, we were'nt friends with them and that we were the regular people.

I love starting projects the right way: meet the client, listen to the client, start site-mapping and wireframing, revise, revise, revise. Make it function perfect on paper first. Then make it look it awesome. Every pixel counts. I love meeting new clients and hearing about their wants, needs, and dreams. My job is to make sure my clients' websites are beautiful and function well in all browsers.

I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my wife, Kathy. She is a super talented art director at GS&F. Check out her portfolio site: KathyMitchellDesign.com. We own a Boston Terrier Bulldog named Lucy. Check her webste at LucySitGoodDog.com. We attend church at Fellowship Bible Church in Franklin, TN.

I love the Lord, I love my wife, I love what I do and I love my life.
